The Pittsburgh Steelers will not need to look for a new starting quarterback just yet. After considering his future, two-time Super Bowl champion Ben Roethlisberger has decided to continue his playing career in the NFL for a 14th season.

Roethlisberger took to Twitter earlier this week to announce that he’d be returning for the 2017 NFL season:

The Steelers currently have one of the most potent offenses in the NFL with Roethlisberger under center. Along with the veteran quarterback still playing at a high level, Pittsburgh has arguably the best wide receiver-running back duo in the league with the two-headed monster of Antonio Brown and LeVeon Ball.

With the trio of Roethlisberger, Brown, and Bell still intact, the storied franchise has a very real chance of competing for a Super Bowl title next season and the foreseeable future. The New England Patriots may be the cream of the crop in the AFC after Tom Brady led the team to a fifth Super Bowl title last season, but Pittsburgh remains a threat as long as Roethlisberger is willing to continue leading the way at the quarterback position.

In 14 games last season, Roethlisberger put solid numbers once again throwing for 3,819 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions. As long as Roethlisberger can stay healthy, the future Hall of Famer will likely have a similar all-around performance during the 2017 campaign.

According to Sportsbook.ag, the Steelers have 18/1 odds to win Super Bowl 52. Patriots remain the favorites at 4/1 followed by the Dallas Cowboys (11/1), Atlanta Falcons (12/1), Green Bay Packers (12/1), Seattle Seahawks (12/1), Houston Texans (15/1), and Denver Broncos (18/1).
