Eagles’ Nick Foles suffers shoulder injury against Patriots
Having missed the Philadelphia Eagles’ preseason opener to injury, reigning Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles made his first appearance on an NFL field since winning the title last February.
It wasn’t a great start for Nick Foles against the New England Patriots. He completed 3-of-9 passes for just 44 yards while being sacked three times.
More importantly, Foles exited the game with what the Eagles are calling a shoulder strain.

With starter Carson Wentz likely sitting the entire preseason after suffering a torn ACL late last year, this is the last thing Philadelphia wanted to see happen.
Sure the injury doesn’t seem too severe. But any time we’re talking about the shoulder, it must be of concern to the Eagles.
Nate Sudfeld ultimately replaced Foles under center.
