2015 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs: A Trilogy Of Game 3s

The 2015 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs are well into the first round and today there are three Game 3 games. Below is a quick rundown of what to expect from hockey today.

New York Rangers @ Pittsburgh Penguins

The Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Rangers are currently tied at 1-1 in the series.

This is the closes NHL playoff game in terms of odds today. The Rangers are the slight favorites with a –120 moneyline, while the Penguins sit as the underdogs with a line set at EVEN.

The Penguins will be play three of the next five games on home ice if the best-of-seven series goes the distance.

The Penguins have been playing rough hockey, and it has cost them in this series. They have given up 12 power plays off of penalties with the Rangers capitalizing on two of them. One of those power plays gave the Rangers the win in Game 1.

St. Louis Blues @ Minnesota Wilds

The Minnesota Wild are the favorites in Game 3 against the St. Louis Blues with a –135 moneyline compared to the Blues’ +115.

The series is tied up at 1-1.

The Wild fought hard to get home ice against the Blues. However, the Wild struggled at home during the regular season with only 22 home wins total, placing them 19th in the NHL.

Anaheim Ducks @ Winnipeg Jets

The Anaheim Ducks are the underdogs against the Winnipeg Jets with a +120 moneyline, as they look to go up 3-0 in the playoff series. The Jets are a –140 moneyline as the favorites.

The Ducks could be without center Chris Wagner whose status is still questionable after being injured in Game 2.

The Jets will look to capitalize on a banged-up Ducks’ squad. Game 3 is also on the Jets home ice where they have been able to put away teams early into games all season long.
