Aaron Rodgers To Remain With Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers will remain under center for the Green Bay Packers for the 2022 season, he announced on Tuesday.

“Hey everyone, just wanted to clear some things up,” Aaron Rodgers tweeted.

“YES I will be playing with the @packers next year, however, reports about me signing a contract are inaccurate, as are the supposed terms of the contract I “signed”. I’m very excited to be back #year18,”

As a result, Caesars Sportsbook improved Green Bay’s Super Bowl odds from 15 – 1 to 12 – 1. They remain the favorite in the NFC.

It’s all about the Super Bowl for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers now. Over the past three seasons, nobody has won more games (39) than the Packers without reaching a Super Bowl.

Rodgers’ decision to remain in Green Bay must have come with assurances the front office can build a contender.

The organization has its own assurances that Rodgers can keep up his MVP-caliber form. Last season, he had 37 touchdowns with only four interceptions.

As well as that, he broke Brett Favre’s franchise record of 442 career touchdown passes, with 449. If Rodgers continues into his 40s, he will be able to hunt down a few other Favre records.

For 2020 draftee Jordan Love, this means a third season on the bench awaiting his chance to be a starter. There is a sort of symmetry here. Rodgers himself had to wait out Brett Favre for three years before he became the starting quarterback.

While details of the 38-year-old’s contract are unconfirmed, it is believed the parties are working on a deal that would lower his 2022 salary cap figure. Additionally, Rodgers will be seeking contractual security that would take him into his 40s.
