ACC Championship Preview: Duke VS Florida State

Florida State not only has the ACC Championship on it mind, it is also thinking about a National Championship. The Seminoles have dominated any team they have crossed paths with this season and plan on doing the same to Duke

Duke is a bit of a surprise team to be contending for the ACC Championship. They are not a traditional football school, but they earned their spot this season.

Most are not giving Duke much of a chance simply based on Florida State’s track record. Most believe all it will take is for the Seminoles to remain as focused as they were all season and not start letting that No. 1 raking get them too cocky.  It is hard to disagree.  If the Seminoles play football like they have been playing all year they should not have any trouble taking care of Duke and moving onto the National Stage.

It is no secret that Duke is the huge underdogs. This game is being viewed as somewhat of a joke by many sports analysts. Most believe that Duke is not going to give Florida State a challenge at all.  Duke needs to use this to motivate them.

With that said, Duke is also going to have to play some football.  They will need to find a way to stop a quarter back who burns up defenses.  They will want to pressure him and get to him but not throw the sink at him.  When teams blitz Jameis Winston is when he is at his most potent.

No one is giving Duke a chance in this one and are expecting Florida State’s margin of victory to be huge. Bovada has the Seminoles as the 20 point favorites to win the ACC Championship.  The over/under is set at 63 points, with most of those expected to go to Florida State.  The game starts at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
