Another year of college football means another year where Nick Saban’s crew is heavily favored to win it all. Brett McMurphy shared the latest odds, per Las Vegas SuperBook, which show the Crimson Tide is, by far, seen as the team to beat in 2018.
There are a couple of legitimate surprises here to note, however. Both Florida State and Texas A&M, coming off disappointing 7-6 seasons, are seen as decent long shots by Vegas. Both programs, of course, are under new leadership, with Jimbo Fisher having taken over at College Station (after leaving FSU) and Willie Taggert having replaced him as the head coach of the Seminoles.
The rest of this list is pretty much standard fare. The usual suspects are in the usual places, though for the sake of fun we hope at least a few surprises will pop up between now and the College Football Playoff.
The one thing nobody should expect, however, is for Alabama to lose its spot atop the college football hierarchy.
