Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa not missing practice after re-injuring knee

Tua Tagovailoa gave the Alabama Crimson Tide and college football fans everywhere a big scare on Saturday when he re-injured his sprained knee.

Thankfully, the injury isn’t expected to keep him off the practice field this week. This is good news leading up to the team’s road game against Tennessee.

Head coach Nick Saban, who said Tua Tagovailoa could have played on Saturday after aggravating the injury, spoke about what the team expects out of the quarterback this week.

Tua hasn’t missed a day of practice. He could’ve gone back in the game, like I said (Saturday). He’s going to practice today. Probably better this week than he was last week, so we’re going to see how he does in practice and continue to evaluate him.

As long as the medical staff clears him, we’ll keep working him to try to get him ready to play in the game.

Tagovailoa has also added another 117 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
