Aldon Smith misses court date, bench warrant issued for his arrest
The ongoing saga of Aldon Smith continues to be disturbing.
The former Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers pass rusher was recently arrested on domestic violence charges, and on Thursday he failed to show up to court for violating a protective order stemming from that incident, per TMZ.
Due to his failure to appear, a bench warrant has reportedly been issued for his arrest.
Smith was ordered to stay away from his fiancee following a March 3 incident in which he allegedly beat her up, but he violated that order last Friday.
The Raiders recently released Smith after news of his latest arrest broke. He had previously been released by the 49ers for multiple off-field incidents as well.
He is said to have a severe drinking problem, and he’s had multiple run-ins with the law on that front as well.
