Aldon Smith reportedly still training for unlikely NFL comeback
Before off-field troubles derailed his promising career, Aldon Smith was one of the most dominant pass rushers to enter the NFL in a long time.
Currently suspended indefinitely by the league for multiple off-field incidents (including domestic violence), he’s working hard to try and get back into the game.
According to TMZ Sports, Smith has been training at Jay Glazer’s Unbreakable gym in West Hollywood. He’s doing it, per the report, in an effort to make an NFL comeback.
Smith has spent time in jail and rehab over the years — but now we’re told he’s laser-focused on getting his life and career back on track … which is how he ended up at Jay Glazer’s Unbreakable gym in West Hollywood the other day.
Obviously, being in peak physical condition isn’t Smith’s only task. If he’s going to convince the NFL to lift its indefinite ban and also convince teams he’s going to be a viable player on their roster, his off-field issues have to be fully behind him.
And that means proving he can stay clean and sober. For Smith, that’s been a hard thing to accomplish throughout the past handful of years.
