The team announced on Monday that it has placed Dalton on injured reserve with a thumb injury he suffered in Sunday’s humiliating loss to the Cleveland Browns.

Andy Dalton left the game in the second half with a right thumb sprain. And while initial tests came back negative, it’s apparent that the Bengals don’t think Dalton will be ready to play in any of the final five games of the season.
In Dalton’s place Sunday, Jeff Driskel completed 17-of-29 passes for 155 yards with a touchdown. He’ll be the starter moving forward on the season for a Bengals team that enters Week 13 at 5-6.
