Bobby Wagner Return On The Cards For Seattle Seahawks
John Schneider says he and head coach Pete Carroll have taken steps towards making amends with linebacker Bobby Wagner.
The Seattle Seahawks general manager even indicated that Bobby Wagner could return to the team after a season away.
Bobby Wagner is a Seahawks legend, having earned six Pro Bowls and won a Super Bowl in Seattle.
The way he left the team and eventually joined the Rams was far from ideal, however. Both Schneider and Carroll publicly apologized for the fact Wagner learned of his release in the media before anybody spoke to him.

Wagner lined up at Lumen Field as an opponent for the first time in January, and had revenge on his mind.
“To be in a position to spoil their playoff hopes is always a good position, something worth playing for. And it will be fun to go back there, be back in front of those fans that I spent so much time [around]. And it should be a fun game.â€
With the linebacker headed towards free agency, Schneider says they’re going to keep the door open for him. With Cody Barton about to enter free agency and Jordyn Brooks dealing with an ACL tear, Wagner could be a canny addition in the positon.
“We’ve been able to talk to Bobby now and address some of those things, so it’s worked out great,” Schneider said. “We’re gonna be in communication as we go along throughout free agency now.”

“We have been able to [talk to him] now, so [Carroll] and I were able to talk to him the other day, and we had a great, awesome, frank conversation, so he knows where we are, and we know where he’s at,” Schneider said. “We have so much respect for him personally and professionally, so we were able to talk through some things and yeah, we know where it’s going.”
