The Denver Broncos suffered a major loss on the defensive side of the football in Week 5 with veteran linebacker DeMarcus Ware going down with a back injury against the division rival Oakland Raiders. Ware’s injury was severe enough at the time to keep him out the rest of the game against the Raiders, but it appears it may not keep him out an extended amount of time beyond Week 5.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Ware is expected to miss the next two weeks with the back injury:

Fortunately for the Broncos, one of the two weeks Ware is expected to miss will be the team’s bye week. Denver will go on the road in Week 6 to face the Cleveland Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium with the Broncos favored to come out on top for a sixth straight week.

According to Sportsbook.ag, Denver is currently favored with a -5 point spread to extend their win streak to six games. Although Cleveland has been better than expected this season, the Broncos will more than likely come away with a relatively easy win next Sunday.

After a few years of sporting one of the most potent offenses in the NFL, Peyton Manning and company have really struggled offensively. Manning is no longer the top-tier quarterback of old and the end of the future Hall of Famer’s career is rapidly approaching.

As long as the defense holds up as it has all season long, Denver will improve to 6-0 while covering the -5 point spread.
