Caesars Entertainment Become NFL’s First Casino Partner

The NFL on Thursday announced its first ever casino sponsorship deal, which is with Caesars Entertainment.

The history making deal with the NFL will make the Caesars Entertainment the first official casino sponsor of the NFL.

According to the Associated Press, the deal runs for three years and is worth $30 million a year.

The sponsorship deal gives Caesars Entertainment the right to use NFL trademarks in the U.S and the U.K. However, it does not allow these trademarks, such as “Super Bowl”, to be used in their sportsbooks.

“We couldn’t be more excited to work with one of the world’s largest gaming and entertainment companies,” read an NFL statement.

“Combining the NFL with Caesars’ expertise in world-class entertainment will provide our fans unique experiences both here in the United States and abroad.”

“All of us at Caesars Entertainment are thrilled to be the first-ever casino partner of the NFL, the most prominent sports league in North America,” Caesars Entertainment CEO Mark Frissora said.

“Combining the league’s 180 million fans with our 55 million Total Rewards loyalty program members will expose millions of people to the exclusive and exciting year-round opportunities at our properties.”

Since last year’s Supreme Court ruling allowing legal sports books, the other major sports leagues have cashed in. The NBA, NHL and NHL have all opened themselves up to sports betting.

However, the NFL is still keeping it a little bit at arm’s length. The NFL’s deal with Caesars is only for casino betting. It excludes “sports betting, daily fantasy or hotel/resorts.
