Caleb Wilson’s Bold Bulls Prediction Is Already Turning Heads

As the Chicago Bulls move through the offseason, rookie Caleb Wilson already has his eyes set on a significant goal.

Days after being selected by the Bulls with the fourth overall pick in this year’s draft, Wilson voiced during his introductory press conference that he’s aiming to win the Rookie of the Year award.

“I expect to have Rookie of the Year, honestly,” Wilson said via ESPN. “I’m going to work hard. I’m going to do what it takes. I feel like the team is really good for me and how I envision to play.”

Wilson is coming off an impressive freshman year at North Carolina, where he averaged 19.8 points and 9.4 rebounds while shooting 57.8 percent from the floor, which helped him earn a consensus Second-Team All-American selection, a First-Team All-ACC nod, and an ACC All-Rookie Team selection.

The 19-year-old’s bold remarks didn’t stop there, as he stated that he would become an all-time great, just like Michael Jordan.

”[Bulls] have one of the GOATs in y’all history,” Wilson said. “So it’s time for another one.”

There is no shortage of confidence from the North Carolina product, who credits that to his work ethic toward his craft.

“Me saying I want to do something and me putting the actions behind it and becoming a great player, all things that I feel like I’m capable of,” Wilson said. “Striving for something is something that we all do. Striving to be the greatest ever is, it is a bold thing to say, but that’s what I’m striving for. I’m not striving to be an average or mediocre player.”

The table is set for Wilson to back up his word with his play on the court next season.
