Cardinals activate Patrick Peterson following 6-game suspension
After missing the first six weeks of the season due to a suspension, Pro Bowl cornerback Patrick Peterson will rejoin the Arizona Cardinals and suit up for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants.
Arizona activated its star cornerback off the suspended list and put him on its active roster on Saturday following a six-game suspension for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy.
Cardinals activated cornerback Patrick Peterson to the 53-man roster and placed offensive lineman Brett Toth (illness) on the non-football injury (NFI) list.

The three-time All-Pro and six-time Pro Bowl corner will return to the lineup just weeks before the NFL’s trade deadline. Arizona has said the team is not planning to put Peterson on the block, but speculation continues, despite the denial.
That said, Peterson’s return should provide a substantial boost to the Cardinals defense in the meantime.
