Cardinals place Carson Palmer on injured reserve
Despite wishful thinking about a 4-6 weeks absence, the Arizona Cardinals have placed starting quarterback Carson Palmer on injured reserve.

Palmer suffered a broken arm in a game against the division rival Los Angeles Rams in London on Sunday.
This is more bad news for the struggling 3-4 Cardinals. Even if he’s designated to return, he wouldn’t be eligible until Week 16, meaning the season is all but over for the 37-year-old Palmer.
Arizona will now rely on Drew Stanton to take snaps under center. Should he struggle, fellow veteran Blaine Gabbert would be next in line.
