Cavs Favorites Against Raptors
Two of the NBA’s Eastern Conferences best teams are set to collide tonight as the Cleveland Cavilers take on the Toronto Raptors.
The Cavs are currently the No.4 seeded team in the East, while the Raptors are No.2. The Cavs are kicking off a five games run where they will play teams with winning records, while the Raptors look to get back into the rhythm of winning after a season-high five game skid was recently broken.
Cleveland are the -5 point favorites in this one according to Bovada.
Cleveland’s last game was a 110-79 win against the Boston Celtics. The Cavilers covered an 11-point spread as favorites. The game marked the return of their guard Kyrie Irvin who had 18 point in the contest.
Cleveland is 17-6 against the spread in its last 23 games, as they begin to become the juggernaut many predicted they would be.
The Raptors recently snapped a five-game losing streak with a 114-103 win over the Philadelphia 76ers. The Raptors covered the spread as -9.5 favorites.
The win was the first time Toronto has covered the spread in six games. Through the whole season the Raptors are 38-22 straight up and 28-31-1 against the spread.
After the win against Philli, the Raptors will be looking to put together a string of wins that will keep them near the top of the East, as the Cavs are hot on their trail.
The total for the game is set at 204 points. The Raptors hit the UNDER in their last game, while Cleveland sent OVER bettors to the window. Both teams have favored the UNDER more often than not as of late. The Cavs are 5-6 on the UNDER, while the Raptors have gone UNDER in six of its last nine games.
The game starts at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBA LivePlay.
