Chiefs Host Broncos in Important AFC West Battle

The Broncos running game has not helped with C.J. Anderson rushing for a combined 61 yards in the team’s last two games.
Kansas City quarterback Alex Smith is one of the favorites for NFL MVP at the midpoint of the season. The Chiefs signal caller has thrown for 300 yards or more three times this season and has 15 touchdown passes and no interceptions.
His favorite target tight end Travis Kelce caught touchdown pass in the loss to Oakland and has caught one pass or more in 55 straight games. Last Christmas, Kelce caught 11 passes for 160 yards and one touchdown to help lead the Chiefs over Denver 33-10.
Broncos’ wide receiver Demaryius Thomas caught just two passes for only nine yards in the loss to the Chargers last but Kansas City’s defense is ranked No. 28 in yards allowed against the pass.
Denver is 3-7-1 ATS in its last 11 games versus opponents from the AFC West.
Kansas City is 6-1 ATS in its last 7 games against opponents from the AFC West.
Prediction: Look for a close game but the Chiefs will pull away late to cover.
