Clemson Tigers Favored to win 2020 National Title
On Monday, the Clemson Tigers won their second college football national title in the last three seasons. As a result, they were named the favorite by sportsbooks to win the title again next year.
Several sportsbooks opened Alabama as the favorite at 3 to 2 during Monday night’s national title game. Clemson had the second best odds at 7 to 2. However, shortly after the impressive performance by Clemson to win the national title, the odds were changed. Clemson is now favored at 9 to 5 with Alabama at 5 to 2.

Clemson returns several of its top offensive skills players and will have another strong side on the defense, while Alabama will lose several top players to the NFL draft, but quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will return for another season.
Ohio State and Georgia at 12 to 1. Michigan at 14 to 1 were the top five best odds released for next year’s national championship.

Oklahoma at 15 to 1, Texas 20 to 1 and Nebraska, Florida, Notre Dame and Washington are all at 25 to 1 to round out the top 10.
The championship game for next year will be played January 13, 2020 in New Orleans at the Superdome.
The Clemson Tigers will return quarterback Trevor Lawrence who many thought would be rattled as a freshman by the Alabama defense, but ended up throwing for 347 yards and three touchdowns and playing as though he were an experienced senior in Clemson’s 44-16 rout of the Crimson Tide.
