Cleveland Favorites Vs. San Antonio
Cleveland favorites against the Spurs in the past would have been an easy bet, with LeBron James and the Cavs being a reliable bet. Things are different this season, however.
In a game that pits two championship contenders against each other tonight, the Cavs are -2.5 favorites. However, they actually opened as two-point underdogs. However, neither of these bets are good ones as Cleveland is the worst NBA team against the spread. They have only covered in 12 games this season.
The Cavs do not look like a team right now. Their defense is horrid as seen in their 148-124 loss to OKC over the weekend where the Thunder shot 58 percent from the floor. The Cavs rank second from the bottom in defensive efficiency. Not to mention all the off-the-court shenanigans with players calling each other out in the media. THe Cavs seem to be a mess.
NBA Offer
The total is sitting at 212 points, but given the Cavs’ defense and both the Spurs and Cleveland’s proficiency at scoring one could see the total easily hitting the OVER mark. Look no further than this weekend when Cleveland played another big contender in the Thunder, where the total hit over 270 points. With that said Cleveland is still 21-23-1 on total betting this season, while San Antonio is 18-30 OVER/UNDER.
The game starts tonight at 8 p.m. ET.
