Columbus Blue Jackets win 10th Straight over Florida
The Columbus Blue Jackets recorded their 10th straight win with a 4 – 0 victory over the Florida Panthers Thursday night.
NHL fans will be familiar with the Blue Jackets’ winning streaks. The team joins Philadelphia (1984 -1986) and Pittsburgh (2010-2013) as the only franchises with 10-game win streaks in consecutive seasons.
Columbus goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 33 shots in his fifth shutout of the season. It was the 24th shutout of Bobrovsky’s career, and his seventh straight win.
Cam Atkinson scored a goal and made an assist. Pierre-Luc Dubois had two assists for the Blue Jackets. Sonny Milano, Seth Jones and Thomas Vanek also scored for Columbus.
After a scoreless first half, Atkinson got his goal 59 seconds into the second period. Artemi Panarin stole the puck on the blue line and fed Atkinson for the goal. It was Cam Atkinson’s 18th goal of the season. It was Panarin’s 44th assist – a team-leading figure.
