The Dallas Cowboys, already heading into training camp without a lot of wide receiver depth, might be without rookie Cedrick Wilson for the foreseeable future.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the sixth-round rookie out of Boise State is believed to have torn his labrum and will undergo more tests to determine the next course of action.
Likely, he was going to have an uphill climb for playing time on Sundays. But this is still a blow to him and the Cowboys, who need receivers to step up in the absence of Dez Bryant and Jason Witten this season.
Wilson was a highly productive receiver in college. The past two seasons he caught 139 passes for 2,640 yards and 18 touchdowns.
