Crimson Tide Look To Roll Over LSU
Alabama has a long road to the playoffs with games against No.1 Mississippi State and No. 3 Auburn in their future, but if they fail to get past LSU and make another mark in the loss column, a playoff run may be out of the question for the Crimson Tide. Alabama is 1-7 against the spread in its last eight road games as favorites.
Alabama cannot really claim the factor of momentum either, considering both teams are on a three-game win streak. LSU also has been winning from the underdog position. Just last week they defeated Ole Miss 10-7 as 4-point underdogs.
LSU is having a heck of a season overall, but at 7-2 they have a lot of ground to make up if they want to be NCAA playoff contenders. The Tigers have won 19 of their last 21 home games against SEC rivals. They still come into this game as -6.5-point underdogs. Winning this evening would help make up some of that lost ground.
LSU is 3-0 agaisnt the spread in its last thre home games as underdogs. They are 19-2 straight upin its last 21 home games against SEC opponents.
LSU has a deep talent pool and a lot of young players who play like mature players. This is not going to be an easy hurdle for Alabama to overcome.
The over/under is set at 45. LSU has hit the under in its last four home games as underdogs. The last five times these two teams met they are 4-1 on the under.
The game starts at 8 p.m. ET and you can watch it on CBS.
