Davante Adams Eyeing Aaron Rodgers Reunion

Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has openly invited former teammate Aaron Rodgers to join him in Las Vegas.

The Packers quarterback is in the midst of his annual contemplation over whether or not to return to Green Bay.

Meanwhile, Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is on his way out following a tough season in which he was benched.

Derek Carr had his lowest completion percentage (60.8) since his rookie season in 2014. As well as that, he had a career-high 14 interceptions for the second season running.

Carr, who recruited Adams Adams from Green Bay, connected well with his good friend in the regular season. Adams reached the 100 receptions mark for the third consecutive year. He also led the NFL with 14 touchdown catches and amassed 1,516 yards receiving – 14 less than his career high.

Now, Davante Adams wants to turn recruiter and reignite his devastating connection with Aaron Rodgers.

Adams set the Packers’ single-season receiving yards mark while catching for Rodgers with 1,553 in 2021. The pair teamed up for a franchise-record 68 touchdowns in eight season together in Green Bay.

“Duh,” Adams said when asked if he’d brought it up with Rodgers. “Why would anybody not do that. I mean 100 percent, that’s my guy. Wishful thinking, but we’ll see what happens.

“That I’m here,” Adams said of reasons Rodgers should come to Vegas. “I think that’s a pretty good one.”

“Just understand it’s part of the game,” Adams said about Carr’s stiuation. “I don’t have full control, but I do have some, so I control the things I can. And the things that I can’t, I just let other people deal with those. It’s not gonna stop us from being really good friends at the end of the day. Still be able to mingle and see him whenever I want too basically, so it’s not the end at the end of the day. Maybe he won’t be my quarterback, but still one of my good friends for life regardless.”
