Deflategate Saga Continues To Shift Odds

The never-ending deflategate may never be over in terms of any time Tom Brady’s legacy is discussed. To some he will from here on out be known as a cheater. As far as Brady is concerned the deflategate scandal ended today with the overturning of his suspension.

The shockwaves that came with the final chapter of deflategate have resonated in the betting world with another shake up of the future odds and the Week 1 line.

It only took minutes after Judge Richard Berman overturned Tom Brady’s suspension for the Week 1 odd to shift. The New England Patriots were moved from -3-point favorites to -6.5 favorites against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1.

The game against the Pats and Steelers total was also shifted from around 48 points to around 51 points at most books in Vegas.

Expect Bovada and other betting sites to have a similar line when they open there Week 1 odds.

The Patriots win total has now also changed. They were adjusted from 10 to 10.5 and the OVER is seeing a lot of action.

The future odds have yet to shift at most sites with the Pats sitting in fifth with a moneyline of +900 over at Bovada. Expect the Pats to move up the futures as they see more action.
