DeShaun Watson & Will Fuller Want To Stay Together

DeShaun Watson will retain his favored target for the time being after Will Fuller was shopped last week.

WR Will Fuller was reportedly shopped to the Green Bay Packers ahead of last Tuesday’s trade deadline.

DeShaun Watson was already shorn of a reliable target after DeAndre Hopkins was traded to the Cardinals over the summer.

Thankfully for the quarterback, the Texans didn’t find a suitable offer for Fuller, and he will remain in Houston.

“It would have been hell if they would have done that, for sure,” said Deshaun Watson.

“Honestly. I’m glad to continue to play with Will. We’ve been making a lot of big, big plays since I came into this league, [and we’re] going to continue to do that as we continue to go the rest of this year and hopefully the rest of our careers.”

Will Fuller is currently on a hot streak. He caught a touchdown pass during Sunday’s 27 – 25 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, his sixth consecutive game doing so. It is the longest streak since Antonio Brown caught a touchdown pass in eight games in a row in 2018.

Will Fuller revealed that he was disappointed to be shopped by Houston, saying “it really sucked”.

“Just giving this organisation my all, coming to work every day, very unselfish player, do everything they ask, and then, just to be shopped around, I did feel a certain type of way,” he said.

“But like I said, I’m happy to be here. I’m happy to play with Deshaun and continue to try to get wins with this organisation.”

Watson and Fuller will have the chance to combine again on Sunday when the Houston Texans visit the Cleveland Browns.
