Final Betting Rundown Of NCAAF Championship Game

Tonight the NCAA National football champion will be determined, for the first time, in a playoff finals.

If we were still operating under the bowl system it is unlikely that the Ohio State Buckeyes and Oregon Ducks would even be battling for a National Championship. A playoff system, though, has allowed the cream to rise to the top and show which teams can win when it matters. In this case, it just so happened to be the two underdogs. Now only one team will be underdogs.

The Ohio State Buckeyes have been kind to bettors this season, going 12-2 against the spread in their last 14 games as underdogs and they are underdogs against the Ducks who have been rolling over everyone in their path.

The Buckeyes have historically performed well as underdogs and with a 7-point spread they could keep it close and at least cover.

Take, for example, the Buckeyes performance against Alabama. The Tide were –7.5 favorites and were considered shoe-ins for the championship game. Ohio State crushed those expectations behind an awesome offense, winning 42-35.

The Ducks are a good offense too, which is why some are predicting this one to bee a shoot out.

Oregon dominated the defending NCAA champions and wrecked a 29-game winning streak by going over Florida State 59-20.

The TOTAL is set at around 74 on most betting sites. Ohio State is 15-2 on the OVER in their last 17 games. The OVER has also cashed in seven time on Oregon’s last 10 games.

The game starts at 8:30 p.m. ET and you can watch it on ESPN.
