Grizzles @ Thunder Preview
The Oklahoma City Thunder are not used to losing games like they are now. The last time the Thunder lost four consecutive games the team was located in Seattle. However, they are now on the verge of losing four straight.
It is the Memphis Grizzlies who will be looking to hand the Thunder their fourth straight loss tonight. It will be the Thunders longest losing streak in nearly five years.
The Thunder are still at the top of the Western Conference, quite securely. However, a weakness has began to show it head in the Thunder, their defense.
They have lost to the Miami Heat and Los Angeles Clippers, both of which are solid teams that can easily take advantage of small mistakes. However, their third loss came courtesy of the Cleveland Cavilers. This loss has many wondering what is going on with the Thunder.
A major contribution to those losses is the following stat. Over their last seven game the thunder have allowed just over 106 points per game. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies have only allowed 84.9 points when playing on the road since earlier January.
The Grizzlies feel they are in a prime position to hand the Thunder their fourth loss, as they begin to surge after starting the season off slow. Memphis has won five of their last six games. They have also won four of their last six encounter with the Thunder when playing against them in Oklahoma City.
Despite the Thunder’s slump and the Grizzlies hitting a peak, Bovada has the Thunder as the –6.5 point favorites to win according to the spread. The game starts at 8:05 p.m. ET and you can watch with NBA Live Play.
