Hawks Look to Even Series at 2-2 with Wizards on Monday

The Washington Wizards and Atlanta Hawks will tip off Game 4 of their best of seven first round series in the Eastern Conference from Philips Arena in Atlanta Monday night. Washington leads the series 2-1. The current line has Atlanta favored by 2.5 points with the over/under point total on 211.5.

Atlanta won Game 3 to narrow the lead of Washington to 2-1 in this series and looks to even the series at 2-2 with a win on Monday. Washington played very physical in Games 1 and 2. Atlanta’s high scorer Paul Millsap compared the first two games to a MMA match.

However, in Game 3, the Hawks routed Washington 116-98 behind Millsap’s 29 points and 14 rebounds. Markieff Morris a power forward for Washington said that the comments made by Millsap about the physical may have helped changed the referees’ way of calling Game 3.

Morris must do more on the court however, as he scored just a combined 12 points the past two games. Bradley Beal Washington’s shooting guard appears to have broken out of his shooting slump with a strong fourth quarter during Game 3.

John Wall continues to play well for the Wizards as he is averaging 31 points per game in the series and hit 10 of his 12 shots in the Wizards’ Game 3 loss.

Millsap is getting help offensively from Dennis Schroder. The point guard for Atlanta is averaging 25 points and 8 assists per games in the series and trying to play tough defense on Washington’s Wall.

Atlanta center Dwight Howard did not scored double figures in any of the series’ first three contests and has averaged just 6 points per game in the series.

Washington shooting guard Bojan Bogdanovic has hit just 1 of his 10 shots from three-point territory during the series.

Hawks rooking guard Taurean Prince has an average of 14 points scored per game in the series while shooting 62% from the floor over that same stretch.

Washington is 4-1 ATS in its past 5 games played.

Atlanta is 4-0 ATS in its past 4 games played at home.

Prediction: This appears to be a home court series. The Wizards took Games 1 and 2 and Atlanta will take Game 4 after winning Game 3. Lean here toward the Hawks.
