Hawks Look To Even Series Vs. Wizards

The Atlanta Hawks will be looking to even the series tonight when they take on the Washington Wizards.

Atlanta are the -6-point favorites tonight against Washington, with the sportsbooks clearly expecting the Hawks to have a bounceback game tonight.

The No. 1-seeded Hawks are already in the whole against the Wizards who are perfect in the postseason after their Game 1 victory and their opening round sweep of the higher-seeded Toronto Raptors.

In addition to their perfect postseason record, the Wizards have also been perfect to those who are betting on them, covering the spread in every game they have played in the playoffs. Washing is also 5-0 against the spread when playing on the road.

The Wizards’ last time out they covered a +5.5-point spread as underdogs against the Hawks in Atlanta. The total was set at 198 points, so the game sent OVER bettors to the window.

The total is posted at 198 points for tonight’s game also. Washington has sent OVER bettors to the pay out window in seven of their last eight games.

Going into the series, bettors knew the Hawks showed their weaknesses against the Brooklyn Nets, as they struggled to close the series. Atlanta did not cover in the first four games of their series with Brooklyn.

The Hawks may have the best win-loss record in the NBA, but their betting stats as of late have left bettors with their pockets a little less full. They are 2-7-1 against the spread over their last 10 games and 1-4 against the spread over their last five homes games.

The game starts at 8 p.m. ET on TNT. Game 3 of the series will be Saturday, May 9.
