Hawks Looks To Regain Advantage Over Nets In Game 5

The Brooklyn Nets have shifted the momentum of their first round playoff series against the Atlanta Hawks.

After going down 2-0 in the best-of-seven series, the Nets rallied over two home games to tie the series up. Atlanta is hoping that a shift of venue back to their home turf will help them regain the advantage, while Brooklyn is looking to take the edge in the big edge in the series. This is a critical Game 5.

The odds opened with Atlanta as the -8 to -9-point favorites against the Nets. The games total opened at 200 points and has remained steady as of this writing.

Brooklyn bettors have been spending a lot of time at the payout window. The Nets have covered in all four games in this series.

The secret to the Nets comeback is the consistently great playing from Brook Lopez. He had a solid shooting effort in Game 1, shooting 6 for 7 with 17 points. However, he has amped it up slightly, over the last three games in the series he is taking more shots and scoring more points, finishing with at least 20 points from Games 2 to 4.

Atlanta dominated their regular season series against the Nets, but Brooklyn has been able to take advantage of Atlanta’s poor shooting from downtown and in the paint over the last two games. Kyle Korver is shooting just 33 percent from behind the arc in this series, significantly down from the near-50 percent three-point shooting percentage he had during the regular season.

Total bettors will want to keep in mind that Atlanta shoots well at home and with the Nets recent offensive onslaught, the OVER seems like a safe bet. It is also important to note that the Hawks have hit the OVER in four of their last five home games dating back to the regular season.

The game starts at 9:30 p.m. ET on TNT.
