Heisman Trophy Odds Update: Tua Still Topping

Week 5 of college football is in the books and Heisman Trophy odds still see Tua Tagovailoa on top but that could change in the coming months.

Tagovailoa turned in a solid performance going 8 for 8 on passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns in a 56-14 win over Louisiana. While Tua currently tops the list, he will face his true challenges in November where the Tide will play the likes of LSU and Auburn.

An interesting dark horse candidate for the Heisman is West Virginia’s Will Grier. Grier turned a lot of heads over the last couple of weeks. He has led the Mountaineers to a 4-0 start, including 42-34 upset over Texas Tech. In that contest Grier threw 27/41 for 370 yards and three touchdowns. Like Tagovailoa, Grier’s true test will be in November where he will face off against Texas and Oklahoma defenses.
