Isaiah Wilson Out In The Tennessee Cold

First round pick Isaiah Wilson did not have a rookie NFL season to be remembered with the Tennessee Titans.

The offensive tackle has been left in no uncertain terms about where he stands by general manager Jon Robinson.

29th overall pick Isaiah Wilson played only four snaps last season due to a raft of personal and disciplinary issues.

Jon Robinson cast doubt over not just his Titans future, but his future as an NFL player if he doesn’t clean his act up.

Isaiah Wilson was placed on the Covid-19/reserve list twice last season. His first run in with police came during training camp, when he attended an off-campus party at Tennessee State. He received a trespass warning.

He was then arrested and charged with a DUI in September after losing control of his vehicle.

“We put him on the reserve/non-football injury list and haven’t spoken to him since. He’s going to have to make a determination on whether he wants to do what it takes to play pro football. That will be on him,” Robinson said.

“I know what the expectation level is here, and it’s no different than any other player on the football team. We have a certain standard that we want players to prepare and perform at professionally, and as people, and there’s a lot of work to be done there,” he added.

That Wilson has effectively been frozen out is a far cry from the combine, when the Titans staff liked what they saw.

“We did a lot of work on him leading up to the draft. The player that was here in the fall was not the player we evaluated,” Robinson said.
