Jadeveon Clowney likely out until start of Texans training camp
While Houston Texans pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney is at the team’s facility, he has not been on the field for OTAs. On Wednesday, coach Bill O’Brien noted that he doesn’t expect that to change.
Bill O’Brien told me he doesn’t see Jadeveon Clowney (knee) participating in OTAs. Said it will be most likely training camp when he hits the field. He’s been at the facility rehabbing.

In fact, the coach doesn’t expect to see Clowney, who is battling a knee injury, on the field until training camp.
The Texans are hopeful that Jadeveon Clowney will be with the team for a long time. Rushing any player back at this time of the year is not smart, especially when the player has an injury history like Clowney’s.
For the first time in Clowney’s career, he played all 16 games in 2017. Naturally, he set career highs in most statistics, including sacks with 9.5.
