This is somewhat of a surprise considering the Jaguars were openly interviewing other candidates for the job. It also tells us a story of an organization that viewed Bradley as its primary issue during yet another last-place finish in the AFC South.
New head coach Doug Marrone has made sure to keep the continuity afloat in Jacksonville. Retaining Hackett just adds to this even more. It’s also an indication that Chip Kelly won’t be coaching in the NFL during the 2017 season.
