Jason Garrett still has a job after brief meeting with Jerry Jones

Jerry Jones, Cowboys, Jason Garrett

Steve Pfost / The Dallas Morning News

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones met with head coach Jason Garrett on Tuesday for less than an hour, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Everyone left with no resolution regarding Garrett’s status and according to NFL Network’s Jane Slater, no additional news will be coming out today.

However, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter noted before Jones and Garrett’s meeting, the “expectation continues to be Garrett and Dallas will part ways, but the Cowboys are run as a family, Garrett has been a part of family, and it’s hard to part ways.”
