Javonte Williams Aiming To Be Fit For Broncos Training Camp
Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams is confident he will return in time for training camp on July 25.
Javonte Williams was drafted in the second round in 2021 and excelled in his rookie year. His 903 rushing yards led to him being named in the All-Rookie team that season.
In 2022, he had 204 yards on 47 carries before tearing his ACL and LCL in his right knee in Week 4.

The Broncos must have faith in Javonte Williams because there are running backs out there desperate for a contract. Denver did not draft a running back and they did not sign a veteran running back in free agency. This suggests Williams will be given the chance to return to full fitness over the summer.
“I mean, that’s the plan. I feel like I’m ready to go.”
“It’s just all about the evaluation, how the Broncos feel about it,” Williams said.Â
“… Just seeing how I feel, moving, just trying to get my speed back to normal, things like that.”

“Just the mental part, being to be able to move like you have your whole life,” Williams said.
“For the first two months, you’re just kind of sitting in bed trying to get it to bend all over again. That’s the hardest part. [But] that’s who I got to be, that’s who I’ve been my whole life. I don’t want to get back on the field playing scared or timid, so when I do get back out there, I want to be 100%.”
