Jonathan Martin charged in connection with social media threat

Last month, former NFL offensive lineman Jonathan Martin made threats on social media. They were aimed at his former Harvard-Westlake High School in Southern California. He was also found by police to be in the possession of a loaded gun, a knife and an axe.

Now, authorities have reportedly charged Martin with four counts of making criminal threats, and one count of possessing a loaded firearm, per TMZ Sports. Furthermore, the report states there is currently a warrant issued for Martin’s arrest.

Martin originally shared a photo of a shotgun and bullets. The caption: “When you’re a bully victim and a coward, your options are suicide or revenge.”

It also included Martin mentioning former Dolphins teammates Richie Incognito and Mike Pouncey, who were at the center of the bullying scandal that featured Martin himself with the Dolphins back in 2013.
