The bad news is Kevin Durant suffered a mild strain of his right calf, which ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski said will need to be re-evaluated next week, assuming they can close out the series in the meantime.

Durant will be unavailable for the remainder of the Western Conference semifinals against the Rockets.

Game 6 is on Friday night. If the series goes to Game 7, that will take place on Sunday.

When Durant originally limped off the court Wednesday night in Game 5, many thought he had suffered an Achilles injury.

That would have taken him out for the foreseeable future, but at least now there seems to be a possibility he could make a return in the postseason.

It’s worth pointing out that he missed multiple playoff games last year with a calf strain too. So, it appears that will be the minimum as he recovers from this latest injury.

Before his injury, Durant had combined with James Harden to set an NBA postseason record.

Now the Warriors will have to advance without their top offensive weapon.
