Durant, the reigning back-to-back NBA Finals MVP, will return to Golden State on another short-term contract. Earlier on Saturday night, it was reported Durant wanted a short-term deal with a player opt-out after the first season.
Now it seems he has landed exactly what he wanted. Durant will make $30 million this season and be able to re-enter free agency next summer.
