Having held out since the start of camp, Mack will not be on the field for the team’s preseason opener against the Detroit Lions on Friday evening, despite a looming $814,000 fine as determined by the CBA.
Mack is entering the final season of his rookie contract that is set to pay him $13.8 million. He has held out throughout the offseason as he looks for a new long-term contract extension.
