Khalil Mack: You Gotta Win Now
Khalil Mack is working to instil a sense of urgency into the Chicago Bears roster ahead of the 2019 season.
It’s a philosophy the linebacker picked up from the veterans he played with during his four year Oakland Raiders spell.Â
Khalil Mack (28), has Charles Woodson and Justin Tuck to thank for ensuring he doesn’t take his career for granted.
Despite potentially having another decade left in the tank, Khalil Mack isn’t complacent. He wants to win now.

“Absolutely,” Mack said. “You’ve gotta win. Gotta win now.”
Entering his 6th NFL season, Mack is a former NFL Defensive Player of the Year. As well as that, he is a three time All-Pro and four time Pro-Bowler.
“You’re running out of time, man,” Mack said.Â
“All these older dudes let us know at an early point in my career, man, we ain’t got no time to waste.”
Mack has made the playoffs twice in his career, once with the Raiders and once with the Bears. He lost both times.
His attitude is rubbing off on the rest of the Chicago Bears camp. His teammates can see his drive, and take inspiration from it, as running back Mike Davis explains.
“It helps you get better,” Mike Davis said.
“You’re not going to see another guy like Khalil Mack out on the field. He’s making us better.”

“That’s what it’s all about,” Mack said.Â
“This game is all about making everybody around you great, not so much about making myself great.”
The Chicago Bears will need to demonstrate this attitude for a full 16-game season if they are to make the playoffs. With Mack there to motivate them and enforce a sense of urgency, they could be interesting to watch.Â
