Lakers Odds Rise Based On Rumors

We checked in with the NBA futures after the NBA finals, but the Lakers odds have risen significantly since then thanks to increased action based on offseason rumors.

There are rumors that in addition to the young talent on the Lakers, that LA is looking to bring in Kawhi Leonard and Kevin Huerter. The Lakers are also currently the favorites to where LeBron James will play next season.

LBJ and the Cavs were swept by the Golden State Warriors in the Championship series this year. Combined that with James rumored exit from Cleveland, and the Cavs future odds have plummeted. At one team viewed as the only contenders in the East, Philadelphia and Boston both have better odds than the Cavs. The Warriors have the top spot in the 2019 future odds.

With that being said, James moving to a Western Conference team will likely further solidify the West as the powerhouse conference. It was said in many circles that the true NBA Finals to determine the best was the series between Houston and Golden State.

The team that pushed the Warriors to seven games in the Western Conference Finals, the Houston Rockets, have the second bets odds.
