Landon Collins calls Giants teammate Eli Apple ‘a cancer’
The New York Giants’ disastrous 2017 campaign couldn’t possibly end without more of the same drama that has defined the organization this year.
Pro Bowl safety Landon Collins made sure that was the case during a radio spot on Tuesday, and he was blunt to say the least.

Apple, who is just 22 years old, has gone through just about as bumpy of a season as any second-year player in the NFL. He has been fined for his actions, named a healthy scratch, gotten into feuds with well-like teammates like Collins, and he has even gotten on the nerves of coaches for his social media antics among other things.
There is also some speculation that Apple is the anonymous source that leaked information about problems in ex-head coach Ben McAdoo’s locker room earlier this season.
However, what should be most troublesome to fans is that Apple is unwilling to heed advice from one of the franchise’s faces and locker room leaders in Collins.
The Giants head into Week 17 with the second-worst record in the NFL at 2-13. This comes on the heels of the team winning 11 games back in 2016. Obviously, the drama we have seen engulf this organization has played a major role.
As the best player in the Giants’ secondary and a true team leader, we’re pretty sure Collins speaks for others within the locker room. It will be extremely interesting to see if New York decides to cut ties with Apple completely after just two seasons.
