Late Season World Series Odds
The playoffs are getting closer and closer as the MLB season is set to end just a few weeks away.
The National League playoff picture is all but officially developed. Most of the NL is mathematically eliminated. The wild card is all but set. The Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs hold a seven-game lead. The NL central has three of the five teams with the best record in baseball.
Over in the American League there is a bit more of a race going on. Three teams are within five games of the wild card and two divisions are still trying to settle who is No. 1.
Based on those AL and NL standings, the future odds  have responded accordingly.  The St. Louis Cardinals have seen one of the biggest slips in the MLB. They have lost seven of their last 11 games. The Cardinals at one time sat atop the odds and now sit at 6-1 which puts them with the fifth best odds now. The Pirates have climbed the odds despite just being a wild card team. They are now 8-1 to win it all.
The Kansas City Royals sit atop the odds with 7-2. The Toronto Blue Jays are not far behind with 9-2 odds.
