LeBron James Returns to Miami in Cavaliers Uniform

The Christmas Day lineup for the NBA includes a matchup between the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers and the host Miami Heat.

Cleveland is 17-10 at the season, while Miami is 13-16.

The Miami Heat was expected to take a step back when LeBron James left. However, the club did not think the step back would be so big prior to the start of the season.

The Heat will try to recover after a loss at home to the lowly Philadelphia 76ers when they welcome their former MVP James back on Christmas day in a Cavaliers uniform.

James guided the Heat to four trips to the NBA finals and two NBA championships in a span of four seasons in Miami before he went back home to Ohio during the summer.

The reaction was very mixed both from the press and Heat fans. Miami quickly decided to make up for their loss by giving Chris Bosh a maximum contract and signing Luol Deng as well as Josh McRoberts, two talented free agents.

At present, Bosh is injured and sidelined for an unknown period of time and McRoberts is injured as well and could possibly be out for the remainder of the season, leaving a very heavy load one veteran shooting guard Dwayne Wade.

Cleveland, besides acquiring James during the offseason added Kevin Love and other new players.

The team is still trying to work out all the kinks but has showed signs things are starting to fall into place

Cleveland has shown a stifling defense in their past three games and moved the ball well on offense in their 125-104 victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday.

Love hit for 20 points and 10 rebounds in the first meeting against his former franchise.

James stated that it would be great to return to Miami to be back amongst the city’s unbelievable fans.

Miami held a 23-point lead against one of the worst teams in the NBA during the second half, before watching it evaporate when they lost 91-87 on Tuesday night to the 76ers.

Wade said the Heat has suffered too many losses to start the 2014-15 NBA season and the one to the 76ers could just be added to that mounting total.

The veteran Miami guard believes the players will return in a positive fashion following the disappointing loss to Philly.

Wade added that the players will come to play on Christmas Day since they will be in the spotlight due to playing on the holiday and playing against James, who led them to their two most recent NBA titles.

The Heat has already has lost ten games on its home court, which is one more than the team lost at home all of last season when James was in the lineup.

Pick: I like Cleveland 110-99.
