Lions QB Jared Goff: ‘We feel like’ we can beat anyone
The Detroit Lions got the 2023 NFL season off to a great start. Jared Goff and company got the best of the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in the league’s season opener.
Since then, the Lions have followed it up with wins over the Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers. Meanwhile, they suffered just one loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2.

On Thursday, the Lions put on a show against the division-rival Packers, with Dan Campbell’s squad crushing Jordan Love and company on the road at Lambeau Field. Detroit was virtually unstoppable with their ground game, as Green Bay had no answer for their offense, which has led to Goff believing this team can beat any team in the league via ESPN.
“We have that confidence,” he said. “Like I said, send us anywhere. Line us up against anyone, and we feel like we can go in there and beat them, and that’s a good feeling to have. Is it always gonna happen? I don’t know, but we feel like we can. We have that confidence in ourselves, in our coaches and each other. We’re working together really well right now.”

Along with Goff being as confident as ever in Detroit, the Lions have one of the best running backs in the NFL in David Montgomery, who is coming off a monster game and is equally as confident moving forward.
“We’re not trying to prove nobody wrong, we’re trying to be the best versions of ourselves that we can be every day, and we know if we all come to play the way that we play and we play together, the sky is the limit for us. We believe that.”
The Lions look like they’ll run away with the NFC North division title at this point, with the team looking toward the playoffs and making a deep run.
