Lions Versus Redskins Kicks Off Preseason Week 2

Beating the Bills and the Browns game by 30 minutes, the Detroit Lions and the Washington Redskins will kick off Week 2 of the NFL preseason.

Detroit stomped on the New York Jets last week with a 23-3 win. They are now -3-point favorites against the Washington Redskins. The Lions is 6-1 against the spread over the last seven preseason game.

Matt Stafford led one touchdown drive last week before taking to the bench. Stafford will likely be on the field for more plays in this game as the Lions’ coaching staff begins to test his chemistry with rookie running back Ameer Abdulla. Abdulla pust up over 60 yards last week.

Washington won their last game against the Cleveland Browns, 20-17. It was a comeback victory as they were trailing 14-3 in the third quarter.

Robert Griffin III tooks some snaps and played well, though Kirk Cousins and Colt McCoy will be on the field for the bulk of the game. Griffin has a lot to prove everytime he is on the field after he has been dubbed a one-season wonder in many circles.

The Redskins and Lions will face off at 7:30 p.m. ET tonight.
