March Madness Betting: Will MTSU Cover?

Coming off one of the, if not the, biggest bracket busting upsets of March Madness so far, MTSU will try to make an upset happen twice as they head into the game as big underdogs in the March Madness betting odds against Syracuse.

The Orange are -6.5 favorites against the MTSU underdogs. MTSU upset the No. 2 seed Michigan State to get into the second round. Syracuse walked past the Dayton Flyers to secure their next spot in the tourney.

MTSU probably was not a hot ticket at the sports books until now due to them being off most bettors radar. However. they have now captured the nations attention. Many feel that the talented team that took out the Spartans could likely cover the large -6.5 betting line. MTSU is also 6-0 ATS in their last six non-conference games and 5-0 ATS the spread when playing on neutral ground.

The Blue Raiders were 25-9 overall this season. They were 18-15 ATS. Syracuse was 20-13 this season and 17-15 ATS in a tougher division by comparison to their opponents.

The total for this game is set at 131 points. MTSU is 15-17 O/U, while Syracuse is 17-15 O/U.
