Miami Beach Bowl Betting Odds Has WKU As Favorites

South Florida coach, Willie Taggart, is playing against Western Kentucky, where he played quarterback in the ’90s and served as an assistant until 2006.

If last year is any indication, the Miami Beach Bowl, is the bowl game sleeper of the year. Last year’s nailbiter between Memphis in BYU came down to the wire with Memphis winning 55-48.

Western Kentucky will be looking to improve on its Bowl performance last year where they nearly blew a 35-point lead against Central Michigan. They ended up hanging on to win 49-48.

Western Kentucky opened as -2.5 favorites but have jumped to around -3 to -3.5 favorites as the game approaches. Western Kentucky is 6-2-1 against the spread over their last nine games as favorites.

The total is set at 66.5 points. Both teams trend in opposite directions. South Florida has hit the UNDER 41 times over 49 games as underdogs. Western Kentucky have hit the OVER five times in their last seven games as favorites.

The game starts at 2:30 p.m. ET. You can watch it on ESPN.
